Writing. Automated Dropbox/iCloud Syncing. Markdown. Fastest Sharing. Beautiful Design. Love.

NOTE: iCloud sync between iOS and Mac version of Write is currently broken. I have no definite date on a fix for this. Dropbox sync should be working just fine.

Pros and cons of Write for iPhone - A Note Taking and Markdown Writing App app for iPhone and iPad

Write for iPhone - A Note Taking and Markdown Writing App app good for

Really nicely designed App. But it has no native support for iOS devices with large screens, eg the iPhone 6 plus
This is an excellent program for a segment of the App community (anyone who buys and uses apps). I believe if we all offered him donations, he will come back to maintaining the program. But asking him to reconsider a return would be a great idea if you really want to see it come back.
This app is a god-sent. Awesome Dropbox integration and very neat features, including a brilliant cursor button to easily move cursor in big texts. Folder management is a bit awkward but Im sure itll be fixed soon. Best editing app Ive seen so far.
I have tested a lot of app. This one is bu far my favorite. The offline sync feature with dropbox is really useful.
Very good app. Features it needs to be as good as the remaining text editing apps: - custom Dropbox folder - customizable font size - "Avenir" "Avenir Next" and "Courier Prime" fonts - Markdown Fountain support for screenwriters - custom Markdown preview font, the current font looks terrible - editing files by clicking inside of the text - thinner file list items
sync could be a bit faster and sorting by name or date doesnt work most of the time...

Some bad moments

Unable to use. I bought it yesterday and absolutely every single time that I open it it crashes immediately (iPhone 6). Save your two bucks. A coffee worths more.
The app does not support the 6 Plus screen size. It also is crashing very frequently. Im unable to use it.
The markdown editor totally suck even if the app is great . I dont get the point of making disappear the tags # while writing markdown. The h1 button you get to push several time to get h2, h3, etc do not make any sense. Please keep all the tags visible while writing, the preview mode is here to do so. Do not try to mix preview and writing.
This app is a clearly over designed app with UI elements such as the accordion pulls on both sides that add no value and actually feel annoying and rigid. The app is very mediocre if you look past the over designed animations and pointless UI elements. Also it wont shut up about asking for a review, another of many user experience mistakes the developer has put in this app. Hope you like your review, and hopefully the app will stop annoying me. EDIT: I have to say tho, the cursor functionality is pretty genius. Added a star for that.
Update 2: I am rating this app again, because it asks you to do so every 2 days - there is no way to cancel. Just rate it or later. Frustrating. Looks pretty but ultimately a 1 star app. Update: This app is much buggier than I originally thought. So far, I have lost data a number of times, and many interface elements are not well thought out, despite their aesthetic appeal. Until the developer substantially improves the performance of the app, I would recommend staying away. Original review: I can only imagine that this app will improve in the future. At the moment, it is very appealing visually, but with around 500 notes, the app struggles. In particular, entering text to search notes almost makes it hang. It is also slow to launch, relative to other apps. I hope that the developers will fix these and the few other performance issues.
But now I find that this app is just buggy and slow/laggy, especially when I write bigger bodies of text. It now freezes up and crashes a lot more frequently. I find that its now a lot harder to swipe to save when youre writing a document. I dont recall it being that difficult prior to the big iOS 7 update, but now I find that its nearly impossible to save. This really used to be my favourite writing app with its password protection and Dropbox syncing capabilities, but now I find that using this app is becoming more of a hindrance. Please fix this app up so I can come to love it again and not search for a new writing app to use.
